Summary: A Loan Operations Specialist II assists the Loan Operations Lead and the Managing Director Loan Operations with various tasks within the Loan Operations department ensuring accuracy for all collateral releases.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reviews daily reports to determine which loans need a collateral release, prepared and filed.
- Performs operational duties including mailing paid outs, filing releases for mortgages, deed of trusts, UCCs, EFS 1’s and various other collateral.
- Performs clerical duties including answering phones, assisting customers with questions and balance inquiries, or transferring to appropriate department/employee.
- Files both physical and electronic loan documents as well as verifying that they have been filed correctly and clearly within the e-filing system.
- Assists operations staff with daily responsibilities involving mailing notices, posting transactions, paying invoices, and facilitating officer or processor requests.
- Recognizes red flags, scams, fraud, phishing, etc.
- Stays current on applicable banking regulations and security procedures and practices to prevent fraud or other bank losses and to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Performs responsibilities during Bank hours by being physically present at the Bank an average of 40 hours each week based on banking needs.
- Travels between branches as needed.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience required. (Bachelor's degree preferred.)
- Experience: 1-2 years of banking experience required.
- Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, qualifying motor vehicle record report, and reliable transportation.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
